The Royal Air Force is looking for a new weapon to be known as SPEAR (Selectable Precision Effects And Range). This is to be an air-to-ground weapon capable of dealing with relocatable targets at ranges up to 150km. The British are also interested in the US program to develop a 250-pound GPS-guided smart bomb to be known as the Small Diameter Bomb.--Stephen V Cole
