The Air Force went to General Atomics (makers of the Predator recon drone) and bought the two test bed aircraft the company had made to test new turboprop engines. These have more range, payload, and altitude than standard Predators. These have been passed along to the CIA to replace the one recently lost.--Stephen V Cole
