The Air Force has decided that its premier 1st Fighter Wing (based at Langley, Virginia, with the tail letters "FF" for First Fighter) will be the first to change from F-15s to F-22s. The wing will include three squadrons of 24 fighters, plus six spare aircraft. The first F-22s will arrive in September 2004 and the first squadron will be operational by the end of 2005.--Stephen V Cole
