Canada has ordered a fourth and final batch of LAV-III armored cars for its Army. The order for 171 vehicles brings the total order to 651 at a total cost of $1.419 billion. While the first 480 vehicles were all armored personnel carriers with 25mm guns, the last batch will include the final 14 armored personnel carriers, 71 TOW Under Armor vehicles (using turrets taken from M113s), 39 combat engineer, and 47 forward observer vehicles.--Stephen V Cole
