Murphy's Law: February 2, 2003

Archives

Britain has started receiving its WAH-64 Apache helicopters, but (due to the delays with the simulators) the pilot training program won't start until September 2003. For now, most of the British Apaches are being stored. The pilot training program won't catch up with the aircraft deliveries for several years, and by mid-2004 there will be 40 aircraft (out of the total order for 67) in storage. By 2006, all of the aircraft should be in service with qualified crews. --Stephen V Cole
