Poland plans to create a new Territorial Support Inspectorate by the end of next year. This new agency will take over the control and development of the Territorial Defense Brigades, replacing the current unwieldy command structure and reducing the number of administrative personnel by 30 percent. Poland's Territorial Command (basically their National Guard and Army Reserve) consists of sixteen battalions organized into four brigades and two independent battalions. In the event of wartime mobilization, inactive reservists would be called up to form another three such brigades. These are infantry and mechanized units with some heavy armor.--Stephen V Cole
