The leader of rebel group AIS, Madani Mezrag, was shot and wounded by one of his subordinates in a dispute over accepting the government amnesty. The assailant was killed by one of Mezrag's bodyguards. The dispute was over how the AIS treasury would be distributed to AIS members after the AIS surrendered.
