Pakistan has not cracked down on Islamic radicals supporting the rebels in Kashmir. The Pakistani army continues to support rebels trying to move rebel camps in Pakistan and Pakistan controlled Kashmir into Indian controlled Kashmir. The Pakistani troops fire across the border to try and distract the Indian troops as the rebels attempt to cross. Some make it, some don't. But the attempts infuriate Indians, who see the Islamic separatists in Kashmir as no different from terrorists anywhere else. But the United States needs Pakistan's help in the war against terrorism in Afghanistan and Pakistan does go after Islamic radicals who are less interested in taking over Indian Kashmir and more eager to establish an Islamic government in Pakistan. Meanwhile, anti-Moslem violence in northern India continued.
