Violence in Kashmir left nine dead. India has purchased 1,022 Israeli portable ground radars that can detect people moving up to ten kilometers away. This approach has already been successfully tested in Kashmir. India is also buying Israeli thermal imaging fire control systems for T-72 tanks and BMP armored vehicles, and eight UAVs for keeping an eye on particularly rough parts of the Line of Control.
