The fighting in Aceh has left 1,342 dead in the last ten months. This includes 1,159 rebels, with another 672 rebels captured and 696 surrendered. Government losses include  34 soldiers killed and 175 wounded. Two policemen have been killed and 15 wounded. In addition, 147 civilians have been killed, and 155 wounded. Last month, the government said that a total of 2,200 had died in Aceh over the last 15 months. The government campaign is wearing down, but not destroying, the separatist movement in Aceh.
