In southwest Somalia, militiamen led by warlord Mohamed Ibrahim Habsadeh have seized control of the town of  Baidoa.  Habsadeh is a member of the newly selected government, as is Hassan Mohamed Nur Shargudud, who leads the militia also fighting for control of Baidoa. This struggle has caused over a hundred casualties in the last few days. The violence makes it more difficult for the new government to move to Somalia from Kenya.
