At a political rally in Mogadishu, a bodyguard accidentally set off a grenade, killing eight people and wounding at least 28. At first, it was reported that a terrorist bomb was responsible. But after interviewing survivors, it became clear that the explosion was an accident. Such incidents are not unusual in Somalia, where there is little training or discipline when it comes to weapons.
