September 1, 2006: Islamic terrorism continues in the south, with daily attacks on non-Moslems, as well as schools and government offices. The attacks tend to be low key. Nothing like the large bombs used in Iraq. Except for the murders, many of the attacks don't kill anyone. But the Islamic terrorists make it clear that they want non-Moslems, and the Thai government, out.
August 31, 2006: Islamic terrorists set off 23 small bombs near banks (mostly near ATMs) and other businesses in the south. One person was killed, and 19 wounded. Two students were quickly arrested because they appeared on security video planting bombs.
August 28, 2006: Police found another bomb outside the prime ministers residence. But this bomb is a fake.
