The FBI reports that it is making "real progress" in tracking down "solid leads" to find the hackers who launched Denial of Service attacks on Yahoo and other computer systems in early February. Insiders report that the FBI is steadily identifying those servers used as "zombies" to launch the massive attacks, allowing the security on those servers to be upgraded and denying access to future hackers seeking systems they can use. Somewhat less success is being had in finding who actually installed the daemon programs on the zombies, but the FBI is confident that by analyzing hundreds of compromised sites it will eventually find enough
